Front-End Engineer

As a Front-End Engineer on the Health Informatics Protection and Privacy Orchestration (HIPPO) team you'll get into the details of our platform and help us drive innovation through platform enhancements, security and an approach to design that pushes the foundations of networking, security, informatics and user experience. You must have a desire to:

• Develop new features using Front End frameworks
• Be an active participant in defining the application look and its functionality
• Build reusable code and components
• Optimize our applications for maximum speed and scalability
• Develop and maintain applications based on UI guidelines to ensure pages are standards-compliant, universally accessible, and cross-browser compatible
• Participate in research, planning, and brainstorming with development and project teams

Your Experience

• Able to solve difficult software and UX problems with some ambiguity.
• Proficient in a broad range of software design approaches and common UX patterns.
• Passion for creating intuitive, efficient, scalable web interfaces
• Can articulate the risks and benefits of depending on front-end libraries, frameworks, toolsets and design.
• Strong experience with React and relevant frameworks
• Experience working in an agile development environment
• Demonstrated ability to attract and hire the best engineers
• Excited about working in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment
