About this position

As a Application Engineer on the Health Informatics Protection and Privacy Orchestration (HIPPO) team you'll get into the details of our platform and help us drive innovation through platform enhancements, security and an approach to design that pushes the foundations of networking, security and informatics.

  • Building highly reliable applications to integrate with our blockchain technology
  • Build relationships and partner with Product and Engineering Development Teams to formulate and implement a strategy for software security that is tailored to the specific risks faced by the product and its targeted solutions.
  • Execute projects and process improvements to identify potential opportunities, resolve constraints, and support business activities that constantly improve the firm's overall cybersecurity posture.
  • Ability to adapt to a constantly evolving environment and generate effective and innovative solutions to address change.
  • Extensive knowledge of container security and best practices is required.
  • Experience in augmenting the CI/CD pipeline for security tooling.
  • Strong conceptual and practical understanding of IT Infrastructure designs, technologies, products, and services. This should include knowledge of networking fundamentals, protocols, firewall functionality, databases, container based deployments and other technologies.

Your Experience

  • Developing quality and meaningful deliverables that suit specific platform needs
  • Deep expertise in software development with elements of security is required.
  • Experience working with public Cloud environments is required.
  • Knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and CWE Top 25 Framewor
  • Experience writing and building software solutions using common programming languages like Java, Python, Ruby, JavaScript, Go, etc.
  • Experience with security automation methodologies and solutions.
  • Ability to collaborate and provide clear point of view to multiple teams, ensuring results are aligned with company business objectives and delivered within planned timelines.
  • Excellent judgment, decision making skills, and ability to work with deadlines.
